Mr. Blanchard, based in San Francisco, has 15 years of real
estate experience and is a member of the portfolio and asset
Mr. Blanchard joined Rockwood in 2004. Mr. Blanchard is
the Portfolio Manager for Fund IX as well as Separate Accounts I
& IV and therefore has overall responsibility for the portfolio
management initiatives with respect to such funds, including fund
composition and asset management, fund and asset capitalization,
and disposition activities. Prior to his current role, Mr.
Blanchard was actively involved in the formation and growth of the
overall separate account initiative including formation and
structuring of Separate Accounts II, III & IV and is/was
responsible for the investment phase of Separate Accounts I, II and
IV. Earlier in his career, Mr. Blanchard held various
positions within Rockwood including management and oversight of
west coast office, multifamily, and retail investments and has
completed numerous transactions in all aspects of acquisition and
asset management. From 2001 to 2004, Mr. Blanchard worked in
the Assurance & Advisory practice of Deloitte & Touche, LLP
where he performed audits of both private and public companies in
the real estate, retail and distribution sectors.
Mr. Blanchard received a Bachelor of Science from the University
of California at Davis and a Masters of Business Administration,
with an emphasis in real estate, from the Walter A. Haas School of
Business at the University of California, Berkeley. Mr.
Blanchard is a Certified Public Accountant.
