Water Tower Plaza, originally constructed in 1892 by the Campbell Fruit Growers Union, was purchased in 2014 by a joint venture between Four Corners Properties and Rockwood Capital. The project originally served as a farmer's co-op until 1909 when it was turned into a dried fruit packing plant. A few years later the plant adopted the art of canning fruit, mostly peaches, and later became one of the most state of the art canneries of its time. These buildings still exist and have been repurposed as office and retail space serving as one of the most popular destinations in Downtown Campbell.
Four Corners and Rockwood have developed a comprehensive repositioning strategy for the Water Tower. The design pays homage to the historical nature of the project while incorporating modern features desired by today's corporate and technology companies that will complement the original brick and timber architecture of the buildings.
